At the latest season Wrath of the Lich King, Blizzard added a new hero character to the game. That is Death Knight. It is announced that a series of new heroes will be added to the wow game. The Death Knight is the first hero class implemented in World of Warcraft. To create a new Death Knight character, you should have no less than one level 55+ character. The Death Knight will start at Level 55 after creating with no talent point. After completing all the questing in its starting area, it could gain as many talent points as other heroes of the same level.
Death Knights start in The Ebon Hold of Acherus where is a floating necropolis. Only Death Knights could go inside Acherus and all the initial quests of Death Knights are there. You will learn how to use Death Knight’s skill, talent points by these quests. You will get a full set of blue items after questing. Once the Death Knight goes out of the starting zone, they won’t go back to Havenshine and New Avalon where their first quest lines took place because it’s no need to back to there after finishing the initial quests.
The Death Knight could get an epic mount for free after completing enough intial quests. It will make a 100% more speed to Death Knight. To get a flying mount, you should spend as much gold as other classes. Just buy a flying mounnt and the Artisan Riding Skill is enough. You should have about 5200 Gold to get a flying mount. This is the basic requirement for Death Knight to get a flying mount. If higher speed for movement is needed, you’d better buy a Winged Steed of the Ebon Blade, however, more Gold you need to spend.
In my opinion, the best race for a Death Knight could be either Alliance or Horde. In the current version of World of Warcraft, the Death Knights are stonger than other classes. They can live well no matter by solo or in groups. However, I think Blizzard will enhance other classes in the comming version to keep the classes balanced.
