This wow addon is a useful wow addon. It is used to calculate the amount of damage you will get before damage reduction. The calculation conditions include your armor, dodge, health, resilience, miss, defense, parry, block, block value, crushing blow chance, crit reduction, talents, buffs and stance/forms. The latest version of TankPoints is v2.8.4. The new version has a lot of improvements on an algorithm and can integrate nicely into the dropdown menu of character stats. When it is selected, it will display the tankpoints, the melee damage reduction, the block value, the spell tankpoints and the spell damage reduction. The new version has more information than the version 1. A new combat rating system is included in Tank Ponits 2.0. It shows you mob stats such as the level and damage of a mob, the miss change, crit change and crit bonus of a mob melee and mob spells. It supports for most combat ratings including the new resilience stat. You can download the TankPonits for free now. After installation, you will find two new panels on your character screen. These two panels let you access the Tankponits features easily. When you move the mouse over the icon, it will show you the details about the addon. You will see many figure in the combat table giving you the information about how hard to hit the boss. It tells you how much percentage it will miss you, how much percentage you will dodge of your attacks, etc. The only time I find TankPoints scores useful is in this scenario; for an at-a-glance comparison of items. Notice the Defender’s Code has fewer TankPoints scores than both my top and bottom equipped trinket. That’s useful to know. It does have 0.34% more damage reduction because of its 850 armor than my Figurine but overall it is not better. Then you make a value judgement about the overall benefits and situational usefulness.
